Respite Care
We’ll step in to seamlessly take over your care while your regular carer is having a well-deserved rest, allowing them to return refreshed and rejuvenated and for you to benefit from continuity of care. We will go out of our way to take away any worry from both parties during the break.
Our temporary carers can provide around the clock, in-home respite. They will come into your home, living alongside you to provide short-term care, company and friendship so you don’t have to leave the familiarity of your home environment when your carer takes a break. From personal care, to housekeeping, to medical support, we’ll seek to replicate the same or better level of care that you’re used to, offering you continuity and your carer the reassurance that all their responsibilities are covered.
Personal Care
Whether it is helping you with keeping well, keeping active, or personal hygiene, all being important to your wellbeing, and we have every element of living a fulfilled life covered.
Having support with personal care, with getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, or assistance with meals and medication, can make a big difference to your quality of life. Understanding that personal care can be very sensitive to each individual and dignity and respect is at the forefront of our service. That’s why our professional care givers are discreet and take the time to build a personal rapport with our clients to make sure it is a more personal and individual experience.
Our support and care also consider other things such as health conditions or the frailties associated with ageing and we can offer care at home services tailored for those living with life changing or long-term illnesses such as dementia, Parkinson’s and other conditions.
Hospital Discharge
Being detained in hospital after your treatment can prove to be detrimental to health and mental wellbeing. Hospitals are reluctant to discharge should a patient not have the adequate care and support at home. This leads to frail people deteriorating further unnecessarily.
Our reablement support can be tailored to you to help the service user get back on their feet, into their daily groove, within surroundings that are convenient, familiar and secure – your home. This can be a short period enabling you to take over when ready or prolonged to suit the pace needed.
Our staff will not only support you with personal care but also looking after your home, cleaning, preparing meals, and supporting you to regain confidence and the skills to do the tasks you were able to independently once again.
Live-In Care
With Nurturing Home Care live-in care, a care giver is chosen to be a companion to you or your loved one to live in the home and support with daily activities. It’s all down to you and your loved one to decide how many hours of care you require each day. A live-in carer is available not only as a companion, but as a source of comfort and care, day and night. You can be confident that help is at hand for you, if any unforeseen circumstances occur.
For people who need round-the-clock care and want to remain in their own home, we can usually arrange a team of carers to ensure that your relative is receiving attentive care 24 hours a day.
More importantly they will become a familiar face and a source of company whether it’s cooking a memorable meal, watching a favourite TV programme or reminiscing good memories. Feel free to tell us what is important to you, and we’ll go above and beyond to find the right carer that ticks all the boxes to meet your exact needs.
Whether it is long, medium or short term, we all need help and when it comes to illness, disabilities or even losing a spouse. Companionship can make the world of difference to all concerned. The reassurance of knowing that someone is there can give the confidence in make progressive moves. Especially for family members who are constantly worried about a frail family member, who also have other dependants to attend to.
An ideal scenario: your loved one can stay in the home, where they would prefer to be and where memories are cherished, while family are reassured that someone trained and trusted is always there to help.

It covers all aspects of housekeeping to help you to live well in your home environment so that it remains clean, tidy and safe.
These mundane tasks can prove to be overwhelming or added pressure when trying to deal with changing circumstances. This will free up valuable time and energy, so you can focus on doing the things you want to do and enjoy.
Care for Families
We are here to support the whole family and our skilled and professional team of carers can offer immediate help or additional support when needed; perhaps to cover a family holiday, sickness, emergency or when just an extra pair of hands is needed. We'll work with you to find the best solution to fit your family. We can also help with challenges faced when your loved one is looking to live independently from the family home.
We work with families in various situations to ensure that their family is supported, such as:
-
Staying in the family home with a service user whilst other family members are away on holiday or in an emergency
-
Supporting a family whilst someone is dealing with a relapse of a medical condition of their own
-
Going on holiday with a family as an additional carer
-
Living with a family as a permanent carer to support a family
-
Family is important and we are here to help you keep the most important people in your life safe. Whatever your circumstances, call us to discuss how we can solve the issues
We understand from personal experience that when one needs additional care, other members of the family suffer too. Worry, fear, anxiety, concern, distracted concentration are some of the issues affecting all the family. Having the little piece of mind that you have help can mend moods with positivity transfer and uplifting to all.
Independent Living
We want you to feel better and secure in the comfort of your own home. We specialise in supporting people with daily living tasks assisting people to live their lives as independently as they possibly can. We believe vulnerable people should be adequately supported to thrive, protected against the risk and restrictions not adversely affecting their daily living. With appropriate support and risk management, people can achieve a greater independence and live richer, happier independent lives.
A person with learning disabilities or an elderly frail person may need more help and support with everyday mundane tasks. However, having more independence does not mean that people must live independently of support or care; we believe that people should receive the right support for the choices that they make in their lives. People requiring independent living assistance should have just as much right as others to make the choices on where and how they live, the people they live with, and the things they wish to partake in. Independent living is about having control and choice to the right care and support, to help go about daily life.
A person with learning disabilities may need that little extra support to find appropriate transport so that they can go shopping or attend appointments. Someone else may require support aids to help them communicate more effectively. Our support is designed around your specific needs and will always be provided in a way that best suits you and assists you to have much more choice and control over daily life, allowing you to do all the things you want to do and enjoy.
We have found that greater choice and involvement in decision making with regards to independent living leads to increase access to community facilities. Our services support extends to include more choice in provisions such as transport, mobility, employment, healthcare, education and training. We feel our approach helps people with learning disabilities to have increased involvement in their community; we believe people should enjoy as much inclusion as anyone else in their local communities.
